Criminality of seniors

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce je rozdělena na dvě části, teoretickou a praktickou. Teoretická část se zabývá vysvětlením několika ústředních pojmů souvisejících s problematikou kriminality seniorů. Jedná se o stáří, stárnutí, jeho projevy a teorie hledající možnou příčinu tohoto jevu. Do této části dále patří vymezení pojmů souvisejících s kriminalitou jako je trestní čin nebo přestupek a druhy sankcí s nimi spojené včetně alternativních trestů. Pozornost je také věnována skupině trvale pracovně nezařaditelných. Teoretickou část uzavírá kapitola věnující se seniorům jako pachatelům trestného činu. V úvodní kapitole praktické části jsou formulovány cíle práce a hypotézy dotazníkového šetření. Dále je popsána metodika výzkumu, který byl prováděn zpracováním statistických informací a využitím dotazníku ve věznicích ČR. Následně je popsán průběh, realizace tohoto výzkumu a jeho výsledky. Zjištěná data jsou zpracována pro každé pohlaví zvlášť pomocí tabulek a grafů a celkově zhodnocena v závěrečné kapitole praktické části.

Abstract:

This bachelor's work is split into two parts, a theoretical and a practical one. The theoretical part is dealing with explaining a few central terms which are related to the problems of criminality of senior citizens. Namely it is age, growing old its signs and a theory which tries to find the source of this phenomenon. In this part there also belong definitions of terms which relate to criminality, like criminal act or transgression and the types of sanctions related to them, including alternative penalizations. Attention is also given to the group of permanently work-uncathegorizable. Theoretical part is then closed with a chapter which is dedicated to senior citizens as perpetrators of criminal acts. In the opening chapter of the practical part there are formulated goals of the work, as well as hypotheses of research via questionnaire. Later on there is the method of the research described which was executed through processing of statistical information and through the use of questionnaire in prisons of Czech Republic. After that the story of the realisation of this research is described and its results. The discovered data are processed for both of genders separately with the use of charts and graphs and are evaluated as a whole in the final chapter of the practical part.
