V diplomové práci se zabývám motivací žáků v hodinách cizího jazyka na gymnáziích v České republice a v Rakousku ve srovnání. Diplomová práce je rozdělena do dvou částí – teoretické a praktické. V teoretické části se věnuji didaktice cizího jazyka. Dále se zaměřuji na výuku cizího jazyka a na formy motivace. V praktické části vyhodnocuji výsledky na základě získaných dotazníků z obou zemí.
