Change in accounting method related to the valuation of inventory from own production during the existence of the accounting unit

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se zabývá problematikou oceňování zásob vytvořených vlastní činností v rámci výrobního podniku. V teoretické části jsou diskutovány legislativní požadavky na tato ocenění a vymezeny pojmy jako jsou přímé a nepřímé náklady. Dále se teoretická část věnuje důležitosti volby metody ocenění zásob vytvářených vlastní činností z pohledu manažerského účetnictví. V neposlední řadě je zkoumána možnost změny metody ocenění. Praktická část práce v rámci případové studie analyzuje metodu ocenění takovýchto zásob v konkrétní společnosti. Zkoumá druhy, principy a struktury kalkulací, které na jejich schématech popisuje. V závěru je uvedeno shrnutí jednotlivých výstupů této případové studie, rizika vyplývající ze současného stavu konkrétního podniku. V poslední části jsou shrnuty dva návrhy na zlepšení, které z případové studie vyplynuly.

Abstract:

The bachelor thesis deals with the issue of valuation of inventories created by own production within the production company. The theoretical part discusses the legislative requirements for these valuations and the definition of concepts such as direct and indirect costs. Furthermore, the theoretical part deals with the importance of the choice of the method of valuation of inventories generated by own production from the perspective of management accounting. Finally, the possibility of changing the valuation method is summarised. The practical part of the thesis deals with the valuation method of such inventories in a specific company within the of a case study. It describes the types, principles and structures of the calculations and explains them on their diagrams. It concludes with a summary of the individual conclusions of the case study, the risks arising from the current state of the particular company. Finally, two suggestions for improvement that emerged from the case study are summarised.
