Abstract:

Mašek, R. Operace Inherent Resolve – Intervence Spojených států amerických proti Islámskému státu na území Iráku a Sýrie – vývoj v letech 2014 – 2020. Brno: Mendelova Univerzita v Brně. Fakulta Regionálního Rozvoje a Mezinárodních studií, 2021. Tato diplomová práce se zabývá analýzou vojenské intervence Spojených států amerických proti Islámskému státu v Iráku a Sýrii, známou jako operace Inherent Resolve, v letech 2014 – 2020. Práce je rozdělena na dvě části – literární rešerši a analytickou část. Literární rešerše se zabývá charakteristikou pojmů bezpečnosti, terorismu, vojenské intervence a operace a stability státu. Dále je v této části krátce představen region Středního východu a jeho strategický a ekonomický význam. Analytická část se zabývá vysvětlením historických událostí, které vedly ke vzniku a vzestupu Islámského státu a následnému zahájení operace Inherent Resolve a jejím vývojem v letech 2014 – 2020. Poslední část práce hodnotí a prezentuje dopady operace Inherent Resolve, primárně cílené na bezpečnostní situaci.

Masek, R. Operation Inherent Resolve – Intervention of.the United States of America against Islamic state at Iraq and Syria – development in years 2014 – 2020. Brno: Mendel University in Brno. Faculty of Regional Developemnt and International Studies, 2021. This Diploma Thesis is about analysis of military intervention of the United States of America against the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria, known as the Operation Inherent Resolve in years 2014 – 2020. Thesis is divided into two parts – theroetical and analytical part. Theoretical part is focused on characteristic of terms like security, terrorism, military intervention and operation and stability of state. This part also explains importance of Middle East in strategical and economical context. Analytical part explains important historical events that led to creation and rise of the Islamic State and subsequent launch of the Operation Inherent Resolve and it’s development in years 2014 – 2020. Last part evaluates and presents impacts of Operation Inherent Resolve, primarily on the security situation.
