Mobile app UX design in the context of sharing economy

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá problematikou user experience designu a návrhem prototypu mobilní aplikace. Cílem diplomové práce je vytvoření funkčního prototypu mobilní aplikace pro swap pokojových rostlin, jeho otestování uživateli a návrh doporučení pro další iterace. Při návrhu prototypu bylo postupováno podle principů Design Thinking a Human-Centered designu, který klade důraz primárně na potřeby uživatele a uživatelskou zkušenost. Na základě hloubkových rozhovorů byly identifikovány hlavní jobs-to-be-done, potřeby a motivace uživatelů. Ty byly dále analyzovány pomocí person, user stories, job stories, empatické mapy a dalších metod. Na základě uživatelského výzkumu byl navržen high-fidelity prototyp mobilní aplikace pomocí prototypovacího nástroje Figma. Interaktivní prototyp byl následně otestován uživateli, abychom ověřili, na kolik digitální produkt plní potřeby uživatelů, jak je jeho ovládání pro uživatele intuitivní a kde jsou slabá místa aplikace, která uživatele frustrují. Na základě testování a zpětné vazby od uživatelů byla navržena doporučení pro další kola prototypování a testování.

Abstract:

This master's thesis deals with user experience design and mobile application prototyping. The aim of the thesis is to prototype and test a mobile app for plant swap and propose recommendations for further iterations. The design process followed the principles of Design Thinking and Human-Centered design with emphasis on user needs, pains and motivations. The main jobs-to-be-done were identified and further analyzed using personas, user stories, job stories and empathy maps. Based on user research, a high-fidelity prototype of the mobile application was designed using Figma prototyping tool. The prototype was tested with users to evaluate whether it meets their needs and to explore user preferences, opinions and patterns of behaviour. Based on user feedback, recommendations for further rounds of prototyping and testing were proposed.
