Consummation of pirate copies of televisual serial narrations

Abstract:

Rozvíjející se informační a komunikační technologie, stejně jako měnící se nároky na konzumaci zábavního průmyslu přinesly nový fenomén – sdílení dat na internetu. Může mít několik forem, mezi nejrozšířenější a nejpopulárnější patří stahování audiovizuálního obsahu, tedy hudby, filmů ale i televizních seriálových narací, které mají jejich příznivci možnost konzumovat díky digitalizaci a síti internet také ve formě pirátských kopií stažených z internetu. Jaké jsou motivace, které vedou downloadery ke stahování těchto kopií, a jakým způsobem jsou jimi konzumovány, to jsou otázky, které si klade tento výzkum založený na kvalitativním přístupu. Cílem této práce, je odhalení těchto motivací a zmapovaní způsobů konzumace pirátských kopií televizních seriálových narací. K problematice stahování nejen pirátských kopií televizních seriálových narací, ale obsahu z internetu celkově, se také úzce váže otázka legálnosti, jíž se tento výzkum také dotýká. Sběr dat pro tento výzkum proběhl metodou polostrukturovaného rozhovoru, k analýze jsem využila postupy zakotvené teorie. Získání vzorku respondentů proběhlo metodou účelového vzorkování a sněhové koule, celkem se výzkumu zúčastnilo třináct respondentů. Na základě výsledků výzkumu lze usuzovat, že downloadeři jsou motivování ke stahování pirátských kopií televizních seriálových narací touhou po moci a nezávislosti, v podobě možnosti vlastní organizace konzumace a vytváření přístupu k televizním seriálovým naracím na straně jedné, na straně druhé konformitou, která pociťují jako touhu po sdílení stejných zážitků se svým sociálním prostředím. Downloadeři využívají sekundárních benefitů plynoucích z konzumace pirátských kopií televizních seriálových narací, které umožňují do jisté míry odlišné způsoby konzumace oproti konzumaci televizního vysílání, jenž umožňují downloaderům větší kontrolu nad konzumací a přizpůsobení jejich potřebám. Z výsledků výzkumu dále vyplývá, že downloadeři reflektují problematiku (ne)legálnosti rozdílnými způsoby, stahování pirátských kopií televizních seriálových narací může být považováno za nelegální, ale i nemorální, přesto však downloadery nemotivuje k ukončení stahování, ale k hledání obhajob provádění této činnosti.

Abstract:

Emerging information and communication technologies, as well as changing demands on the consumption of the entertainment industry have brought new phenomenon - the sharing of dates on the Internet. Can take several forms, among the most common and most popular downloads include audiovisual content, music, movies and television serial narrations to their supporters to consume through digitization and the Internet in form of pirate copies downloaded from the Internet. What are the motivations that lead downloaders to download copies of these, and how they are consumed, these are questions which puts this research based on qualitative approach. The aim of this work is to reveal the motivations and mapping of drinking pirated copies of TV serial narrations. The only problem downloading pirated copies of TV serial narrations but the content of the Internet generally, are also closely related question of legality, which is also touched upon this research. Dates collection for this research was carried out using semi structured interview, as the analysis I used the grounded theory procedures. Obtain a sample of respondents was carried out using purpose sampling and snowball sampling , in total participated on this researc thirteen respondents. Based on the results of research suggesting that downloaders are encouraged to download pirate copies of TV serial narrations desire for power and independence, in terms of consumption possibilities of self-organization and creation of access to television serial narration on the one hand, on the other hand, conformity, desire to feel like sharing the same experiences with their social environment. Downloader using secondary benefits resulting from the consumption of pirate copies of TV serial narrations, which provides some different ways of consumption compared to consumption of television, which allows greater control over downloaders consumption and adaptation to their needs. The research also shows that downloaders reflect problems lawfulness of different ways of downloading pirated copies of TV serial narrations may be considered illegal or immoral, but it doesn´t motivate downloaders to stop to download, but they search of accusations of this activity.
