Ethical Dilemmas of Social Workers of the Authority for Social and Legal Protection of Children

Abstract:

Tato magisterská diplomová práce se věnuje etickým dilematům sociálních pracovnic Orgánu sociálně-právní ochrany dětí a způsobům, jak tato dilemata řeší. Teoretická část poskytuje ukotvení části empirické. Nejdříve popisuje sociální práci, profesi sociálního pracovníka a klienta v sociální práci. Dále se věnuje Orgánu sociálně-právní ochrany dětí, zejména jeho principům a problematickým činnostem. Zaměřuje se i na etiku, dilemata v sociální práci, etické principy a přístupy, a strategie řešení dilemat. Empirická část zahrnuje metodologii a následnou interpretaci získaných dat. Interpretace získaných dat odhaluje s jakými etickými dilematy se sociální pracovnice Orgánu sociálně-právní ochrany dětí potýkají, a jakým způsobem je řeší.

Abstract:

This master diploma thesis deals with the ethical dilemmas of social workers of the Authority for Social and Legal Protection of Children, and the ways of dealing with such dilemmas. The theoretical part serves as a foundation for the empirical part. Firstly, it describes social work, the profession of a social worker and a client of social workers. Furthermore, the thesis focuses on the Authority for Social and Legal Protection of Children, especially its principals and problematic operations. It also focuses on ethical dilemmas in social work, ethical principles and approaches, and strategies of resolving the dilemmas. The empirical part includes methodology and the following interpretation of the acquired data, which the interpretation detects. The interpretation explains which ethical dilemmas the social workers of the Authority for Social and Legal Protection of Children have to deal with and how they do so.
