Artificial Intelligence in criminal proceedings

Anotace:

Bakalářská práce se zaměřuje na umělou inteligenci v kontextu trestního řízení. Cílem práce je generalizovat poznatky o současných možnostech využití a analyzovat je pomocí metody párového srovnávání. Dalším cílem je rovněž generalizovat a analyzovat poznatky týkající se zneužití umělé inteligence k páchání trestné činnosti. Teoretická část obsahuje stručný popis systému trestního řízení v České republice, definice spojené s umělou inteligencí, včetně historického kontextu. Dále je v této části popsána metoda párového srovnávání. Praktická část se zabývá současnými možnostmi využití umělé inteligence v trestním řízení a jejich analýzou. Dále se tato část věnuje současným možnostem zneužití a rovněž jejich analýzou. V závěru jsou výsledky obou analýz vyhodnoceny.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis focuses on artificial intelligence in the context of criminal proceedings. The aim of the thesis is to generalize the knowledge about current possibilities of utilization and analyze them using the method of paired comparison. Another goal is to generalize and analyze the findings regarding the misuse of artificial intelligence for committing criminal activities. The theoretical part includes a brief description of the criminal justice system in the Czech Republic, definitions related to artificial intelligence, including historical context. Furthermore, the method of paired comparison is described in this section. The practical part deals with current possibilities of using artificial intelligence in criminal proceedings and their analysis. Additionally, this part addresses current possibilities of misuse and their analysis. In conclusion, the results of both analyses are evaluated.
