Financial Implications of a Selected Firm's Entry into a New Market

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se zabývá výpočtem finančních dopadů, konkrétněji výnosů a nákladů, pokud se společnost Virtual Lab, s.r.o. rozhodne vstoupit na nový trh. Bakalářská práce je rozdělena na teoretickou a praktickou část. Teoretická část obsahuje literární rešerši vztahující se k finančním dopadům vstupu podniku na nový trh. Objasňuje, proč je pro firmu při vstupu na zahraniční trh důležité, být si vědoma finančních dopadů tohoto rozhodnutí,. Vysvětluje využití výpočtů finančních dopadů ve finančním řízení podniku a v jeho finančním plánování, představuje pojmy jako výnosy, náklady, nebo zisk. Definuje makroekonomické ukazatele pro analýzu trhu. Praktická část obsahuje základní údaje o společnosti Virtual Lab, s.r.o. a její organizační strukturu, představuje produkt a charakterizuje cílové zákazníky. Dále obsahuje scénáře prodeje, na základě kterých jsou vypočítány dopady na výnosy a náklady, pokud by společnost vstoupila na nový trh. Na závěr je vypočítám zisk jednotlivých scénářů a je vytvořeno doporučení pro management firmy.

Abstract:

The bachelor thesis deals with the calculation of financial impacts, more specifically revenues and costs, if Virtual Lab, s.r.o. decides to enter a new market. The bachelor thesis is divided into theoretical and practical parts. The theoretical part contains a literature search related to the financial implications of entering a new market. It explains why it is important for a firm to be aware of the financial implications of this decision when entering a foreign market. It explains the use of financial impact calculations in the financial management of the firm and in its financial planning, introducing concepts such as revenue, cost or profit. Defines macroeconomic indicators for market analysis. The practical part contains basic information about Virtual Lab, s.r.o. and its organizational structure, introduces the product and characterizes the target customers. It also includes sales scenarios, based on which the revenue and cost implications are calculated if the company were to enter a new market. Finally, the profit of each scenario is calculated and a recommendation is made to the company's management.
