Export strategy W.A.G. payment solutions, a.s. (Eurowag)

Abstract:

Společnost W.A.G. payment solutions, a.s. neboli Eurowag má specifickou exportní strategii, převážně využívá způsobu fúzí a akvizic, skrze které exportuje své zboží a služby na zahraniční trhy. V mé práci se proto budu zaměřovat a zkoumat jednotlivé akvizice posledních let. Cílem práce je zjistit, zda dochází k úpravě strategie po akvírování jiné společnosti a co každá jednotlivá akvizice firmě přinesla. Tím se dostanu k posouzení hypotézy, zda je Eurowag konkurenceschopný i bez úpravy strategie. Zvolila jsem metodiku rozhovorů se zaměstnanci, kteří se významně podílejí na utváření strategie a lze je považovat za odborníky v tomto odvětví spolu s detailním prostudováním doporučených dokumentů, např. výroční zpráva. Hlavní hypotéza se po uskutečněném výzkumu naplnila.

Abstract:

The company W.A.G. payment solutions, a.s. or Eurowag has a specific export strategy, mainly using mergers and acquisitions through which it exports its goods and services to foreign markets. Therefore, in my thesis I will focus on and examine individual acquisitions of the last years. The aim of the thesis is to find out whether there is a strategy adjustment after acquiring another company and what each individual acquisition has brought to the firm. This will lead me to an examination of the hypothesis whether Eurowag is competitive even without a strategy adjustment. I have chosen a methodology of interviews with employees who are significantly involved in shaping the strategy and can be considered as experts in the industry, together with a detailed study of recommended documents such as the annual report. The main hypothesis was fulfilled after the research was carried out.
