Eating disorders in high schools

Abstract:

Cíl mé práce je zkoumat a porozumět poruchám příjmu potravy u chlapců ve věku 15-20 let. Vybrala jsem si toto téma, protože se jedná o důležitou a stále aktuální problematiku, která často není dostatečně zkoumána, zejména pokud jde o chlapce v této věkové skupině. Hlavním tématem práce je identifikace a analýza poruch příjmu potravy, včetně faktorů, které mohou tuto problematiku ovlivňovat. V praktické části byly využity metody kvantitativního výzkumu. Hypotéza byla ověřena prostřednictvím analýzy získaných dat z rozhovorů a porovnáním s existující literaturou a výzkumy. Zjistilo se, že chlapci ve věku 15-20 let na středních školách mohou také trpět poruchami příjmu potravy, ačkoli se neprojevují v takové míře jako u dívek. Tato práce přispívá k lepšímu porozumění problematice poruch příjmu potravy u chlapců na středních školách a zdůrazňuje potřebu zahrnout tuto skupinu do prevence, diagnostiky a léčby. Přináší poznatky v rozdílech projevů poruch příjmu potravy a poskytuje základ pro další výzkum a intervence v této oblasti.

Abstract:

The aim of my work is to examine and understand eating disorders in boys aged 15-20. I chose this topic because it is an important and still relevant issue that is often not sufficiently explored, especially when it comes to boys in this age group. The main focus of the work is the identification and analysis of eating disorders, including factors that may influence this issue. In the practical part, quantitative research methods were used. The hypothesis was verified through the analysis of data obtained from interviews and comparison with existing literature and research. It was found that boys aged 15-20 in high schools can also suffer from eating disorders, although they do not manifest to the same extent as in girls. This work contributes to a better understanding of the issue of eating disorders in high school boys and emphasizes the need to include this group in prevention, diagnosis, and treatment. It provides insights into the differences in manifestations of eating disorders and offers a basis for further research and interventions in this area.
