Virtual teams and how they function within the company MSD Czech Republic s.r.o.

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá virtuálními týmy a jejich fungováním ve společnosti MSD Czech Republic. Hlavním cílem diplomové práce je syntetizovat zkušenosti zaměstnanců společnosti MSD Czech Republic s.r.o. s transformací z klasického týmu do týmu virtuálního a jejich názorů na současné fungování virtuálních týmů ve společnosti. Přínosem práce jsou doporučení ze strany zaměstnanců na možná zlepšení virtuálních týmů. Teoretická část se zabývá rešerší literatury vztahující se k virtuálním týmům a kritériím hodnocení virtuálních týmů. Mezi zkoumaná kritéria patří motivace, důvěra, komunikace, sdílení informací, týmový a individuální výkon a organizační kultura. Metodologická část je zaměřena na zvolené metody diplomové práce. Součástí práce jsou výstupy rozhovorů k jednotlivým tématům a jejich vyhodnocení shrnující kvalitativní výzkum.

Abstract:

The master thesis deals with the topic of virtual teams and their functioning within the company MSD Czech Republic. The main goal of the master thesis is to synthesize the experience of employees of the company MSD Czech Republic s.r.o. with the transformation from a classic team to virtual team and their views on the current functioning of virtual teams. The benefits of the work are the recommendations from employees for possible improvement of virtual teams. The theoretical part focus on literature research related to the virtual teams and the evaluation criteria of the virtual teams. The criteria include motivation, trust, communication, information sharing, team and individual performance, and organizational culture. The methodological part is focused on the chosen methods of the diploma thesis. One part of the work is the presentation of the results of interviews on each of the topics and their evaluation summarizing qualitative research.
