Analysis of the Development of the Business Policy of Czech Banks since 1993.

Abstract:

The diploma thesis is focused on determining the effectiveness of commercial policies of commercial banks and from the outputs of analyzes to evaluate and propose recommendations for changing the commercial policies of commercial banks. The diploma thesis is divided into 3 chapters. The first chapter focuses on the history and development of the banking sector and on innovations that are currently used in banking. Also, a large part of the first chapter contains a theoretical definition of the therms used in financial analysis, data packaging analysis and benchmarking, which serve as a basis for the development of the second and third chapters. The second chapter focuses on the comparison of indicators of financial analysis ROA, ROE and capital adequacy between banks, which are described as large in terms of balance sheet total. The main part is focused on measuring and determining the efficiency of selected commercial banks. These are 14 commercial banks that measured and ascertained technical efficiency scores for the period 2015 to 2019 through the DEA Solver program and the non-oriented SBM - In the model, it measured and determined the technical efficiency score for the period 2015 to 2019. The third chapter focuses on the evaluation of measurement results and the development of the efficiency of individual banks from 2015 to 2019. In determining the inefficiency of individual commercial banks, recommendations were proposed in which the banks would achieve efficiency. The bank's management team can use these proposals as one of the bases for creating the bank's future in the long-term strategy.

Abstract:

Diplomová práca je zameraná na zistenie efektívnosti obchodných politík komerčných bánk a z výstupov analýz zhodnotiť a navrhnúť odporúčania na zmenu obchodných politik komerčných bánk. Diplomová práca je rozdelená do 3 kapitol. Prvá kapitola je zameraná na históriu a vývoj bankového sektora a na inovácie, ktoré sa v súčasnosti využívajú v bankovníctve. Taktiež veľkú časť prvej kapitoly obsahuje teoretické vymedzenie pojmov finančnej analýzy, obalovej analýzy dát a benchmarkingu, ktoré nám slúžia ako podklad na vypracovanie druhej a tretej kapitoly. Druhá kapitola je zameraná na porovnávanie ukazovateľov finančnej analýzy ROA, ROE a kapitálovej primeranosti medzi bankami, ktoré sú označované ako veľké z hľadiska bilančnej sumy. Nosná časť je zameraná na meranie a zistenie efektívnosti vybraných komerčných bánk. Jedná sa o 14 komerčných bánk, ktorým sa prostredníctvom programu DEA Solver a neorientovaného SBM – V modelu, meralo a zisťovalo skóre technickej efektívnosti za obdobie 2015 až 2019. Tretia kapitola je zameraná na zhodnotenie výsledkov meraní a na vývoj efektívnosti jednotlivých bánk od roku 2015 do roku 2019. Pri zistení neefektívnosti jednotlivých komerčných bánk sa navrhli odporúčania pri ktorých by dané banky dosiahli efektívnosť. Tým management bánk môže tieto návrhy použiť ako jeden z podkladov na vytvorenie budúcej dlhodobej stratégie banky.
