Alcohol consumption in students of Medical faculty at University of Ostrava

Abstract:

Alkohol je běžná a legální droga, která má mnoho negativních účinků. Tyto účinky se projevují jako somatická či psychická onemocnění, ale také alkohol ovlivňuje chování a je důvodem velkého množství dopravních nehod, násilí a kriminality. Průměrná roční spotřeba alkoholu činí v České republice 11 litrů čistého alkoholu u muže a 4 litry u ženy. Cílem teoretické části je popsat alkohol z chemického hlediska, jeho účinky na lidský organismus, prevenci v užívání alkoholu, léčbu a jeho spotřebu v České republice i v Evropské Unii. Dále zde najdeme základní druhy alkoholických nápojů. Praktická část má za úkol zjistit spotřebu alkoholu u studentů Lékařské Fakulty Ostravské univerzity pomocí dotazníkového šetření.

Abstract:

Alcohol is a common and legal drug that has many negative effects. These effects are manifested as somatic or mental illness, but also alcohol affects behavior and it is the reason for the large amount of traffic accidents, violence and crime. The average annual consumption of alcohol is in the Czech republic 11 liters for men and 4 liters for women. The goal of the theoretical part is to describe the alcohol from the chemical point of view, its effects on the human body, alcohol use prevention, treatment, and its consumption in the Czech republic and the European Union. Furthermore, you can find basic types of alcoholic beverages. The task of the practical part is determine alcohol consumption in students of Medical faculty at University of Ostrava with the aid of the questionnaire survey.
