Mobile phone as a symbol of social status

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce ve své první části vymezuje pojmy jako je sociální status, moc, společenské role a mobilní telefon jako rychle se vyvíjející ukazatel společenského postavení jedince a poukazuje na souvislosti těchto pojmů. Ve druhé části je práce zaměřena na sběr dat, která byla provedena formou sociologické sondáže. V poslední části jsou zveřejněny výsledky s cílem potvrdit či vyvrátit hypotézy vedoucí k objasnění, zda je mobilní telefon veřejností považován za symbol luxusu či nikoliv a jak je důležitá jeho značka, funkce, rituály s ním spojené a jiné.

Abstract:

Bachelor thesis in its first part defines concepts such as social status, power, social roles, and a mobile phone as a rapidly evolving social status of the individual and the pointer points to the context, these concepts. In the second part of the work is focused on data collection, which was carried out by sociological probing. In the last section are published the results to confirm or disprove the hypotheses lead to clarify whether mobile phone the public considered the symbol of luxury or not and how important its brand features, rituals associated with him and others.
