Womens Criminality as a Social Phenomenon

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá tématem ženské kriminality jako sociálního jevu. Cílem práce je vymezit ženskou kriminalitu oproti mužské kriminalitě, popsat trestný čin vražda novorozeného dítěte matkou a analyzovat novinové články dvou případů vraždy novorozeného dítěte matkou z pohledu obsahu, formy, prostoru, které jim byly v novinách věnovány a veřejného mínění o nich. Trestný čin vražda novorozeného dítěte matkou je rozebírán z pohledu trestního zákoníku, motivace pachatelek a na podkladu statistik Policie ČR a Ministerstva spravedlnosti ČR.

Abstract:

This thesis deals with the topic of women’s criminality as a social phenomenon. The goal of this thesis is to distinguish between women’s criminality and men’s criminality, to describe the criminal act of a murder of a newborn and to analyze newspaper articles about two such cases. The articles are analyzed from the viewpoint of content, form, the space they have been allocated in the newspaper and public opinion. The criminal act of a murder of a newborn is looked upon from the perspective of the criminal law and the motivation of the offenders. Statistical information from the Police of the Czech Republic and the Ministry of Justice are also taken into account.
