Abstract:

Abstrakt Bakalářská práce se zaměřuje primárně na mezipodnikovou komparaci předních společností působících v obuvním průmyslu. Srovnává průmyslové hráče v Evropě a USA, konkrétně NIKE, GEOX, ASICS a CARNIVAL. Analýza je založená na širokém spektru technik a nástrojů využitelných pro získání konzistentního obrazu o tržní situaci a konkurenceschopnosti těchto společností. Analytické práce jsou zaměřeny na kvantitativní porovnání klíčových ekonomických ukazatelů v kombinaci s horizontálními a vertikálními analýzami. Výsledky jsou nadále komplementárně porovnávány v rámci DuPont analýzy a tímto způsobem poskytují ucelenou informaci o výkonnosti jednotlivých společností v rámci tohoto cílového průmyslu. Druhá část této bakalářské práce cílí na multidimenzionální analýzu a implementuje pokročilé jednodimensionální metodiky dedukce a hodnocení v kombinaci se standardizovanými a multidimenzionálními metodami. Za účelem získání co nejpřesnějších výsledků, práce klade značný důraz na kvantitativní komparaci jednotlivých aspektů a ukazatelů, přičemž testuje následující hypotézy: H1: Nejvýkonnější společnost obuvního průmyslu je v celkovém pohledu společnost NIKE, protože tato společnost vykazuje významně vyšší návratnost vlastního jmění ve srovnání s ostatními. H2: Vysoká cena obuvi značky GEOX zaručuje této společnosti přední pozici díky výsledkům standardní a pokročilé analýzy o několika proměnných.

Abstract:

Abstracts The thesis is focused on the intercompany comparison of shoes companies in the fashion industry operating specially in Europa and America such us NIKE, GEOX, ASICS and CARNIVAL. The analysis is based on a range of techniques commonly used in the matter of intercompany comparison. Starting to initially analyse the one-dimensional methods used are prepared through the ratio analysis in accordance with results of vertical and horizontal analyses. The results are complemented by DuPont analysis providing in this case a valuable insight into the shoes company’s financial performance and behaviour. In the second part of this thesis, the multi-dimensional methods used consist of the multi-dimensional regular summation method or method of order sum, the rigorous deduction method or simple deviation, the scoring method, the standardized multivariate or method of standardized variable and sophisticated standardized multivariate methods. Obtained the most accurate results, the thesis emphasizes in the last two multi-dimensional methods (method of standardized variable and sophisticated standardized multivariate methods). The main objective of the thesis is to provide a complex intercompany comparison that demonstrate an objective and comprehensive and realistic result. However, the results ought to illustrate the best performing company, alleged the absolute winner or the advantage winner. Additionally, the comparison should provide coherent results, enough to determine whether median-cost shoes companies such as (NIKE and CARNIVAL) or high-cost shoes (ASICS and Geox) companies scored better in the selected intercompany comparison criteria. To sum up, the thesis tests the following hypotheses as follows: Hypothesis 1; The best performing shoes in overall will be NIKE because the company will have substantially higher return on equity ratios in all years in comparison to the other shoes industry. Hypothesis 2: The high-cost Geox shoes will be in the two best ranks in overall results of the standardized multivariate method and sophisticated standardized multivariate methods.
