Selected aspects of the present demographic evolution in the Czech Republic

Abstract:

Předmětem této bakalářské práce je zhodnotit vybrané aspekty současného demografického vývoje v ČR v kontextu současných demografických trendů. Práce umožní nahlédnout do problematiky stárnutí obyvatelstva jako současného stěžejního trendu populačního vývoje. Po rozboru literatury a kapitole věnované použitým metodám následuje hlavní práce začínající kapitolou tři, která obsahuje základní charakteristiky populačního vývoje v ČR. Další část se zaměřuje na přiblížení hlavních znaků tzv. druhého demografického přechodu. Kapitoly pět a šest přinášejí analýzu aspektů souvisejících se stárnutím populace včetně ekonomických a sociálních důsledků růstu podílu seniorů v populaci. Poslední z kapitol této bakalářské práce naznačuje demografický vývoj v ČR v blízké budoucnosti s pomocí dostupných projekcí a prognóz. Shrnutí nejdůležitějších poznatků je obsaženo v Závěru.

Abstract:

The subject of this closing bachelor´s work is to evaluate some selected aspects of the contemporain demographic evolution in Czech Republic in the connection with actual demographic trends. The work enables to look-in to the problem of ageing as the main actual trend of the population development. After the analysis of the literature and a chapter spared to the used methods is the main work following with his beginn in the third chapter with the principal characteristics of population growth in Czech Republic. Next part is focused to the approach of the main attributes of the so called second demographic change-over. The chapters N° five and six are bringing the analysis of aspects concerning the ageing of population including the financial and social consequences of rising the portion of seniors in the population. The last chapter of this bachelor´s work indicates the demographic progression in Czech Republic in the next future by the available projections and forecasts. The summary of the most important pieces of knowledge is included in the Conclusion.
