Hlavním cílem této bakalářské práce je poukázat na viktoriánské hodnoty, které se objevují v díle Cranford od Elizabeth Gaskellové. Práce nejprve podá stručné informace o historickém pozadí viktoriánské éry a také se bude zabývat kulturním pozadím, které je zaměřeno na třídní systém viktoriánské Anglie a jednotlivé sociální třídy. The principal aim of this bachelor thesis is to analyze the Victorian values, which are reflected in Cranford by Elizabeth Gaskell. At first, the thesis describes the historical background of the Victorian era together with the cultural background dealing with the elaborate social system and individual social classes.
