Communication as an essential tool of the social worker when working with people with mental illness.

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se zaměřuje na komunikaci mezi sociálním pracovníkem a klientem s duševním onemocněním, a to především na rozhovorem a jeho fáze. Vzhledem k velkému množství typů duševního onemocnění se práce zaměřuje na klienty s demencí, schizofrenií a poruchou nálad. Cílem práce je zjistit, jak probíhá komunikace, prostřednictvím rozhovoru, mezi sociálním pracovníkem a klientem s duševním onemocněním se zaměřením na klienty s demencí, schizofrenií a poruchou nálad. Práce je rozdělena do dvou částí. První část tvoří část teoretická, která se zaměřuje na komunikaci, rozhovor a jeho fáze, sociální práci s lidmi s duševním onemocněním, duševní onemocnění se zaměřením na výše uvedené typy a na specifika komunikace s klientem s duševním onemocněním v sociální práci. Druhou část tvoří část výzkumná, která se zabývá samotným výzkumem ke zjištění průběhu rozhovoru mezi sociálním pracovníkem a klientem s duševním onemocněním. Ke sběru dat bylo použito dotazníkové šetření a k analýze dat poté program IBM SPSS.

Abstract:

The bachelor's thesis focuses on communication between a social worker and a client with a mental illness, primarily on the interview and its phases. Due to the large number of types of mental illness, the work focuses on clients with dementia, schizophrenia and mood disorders. The aim of the thesis is to find out how communication takes place, through an interview, between a social worker and a client with a mental illness, with a focus on clients with dementia, schizophrenia and mood disorders. The work is divided into two parts. The first part consists of a theoretical part that focuses on communication, interview and its phases, social work with people with mental illness, mental illness with a focus on the above types and on the specifics of communication with a client with mental illness in social work. The second part consists of the research part, which deals with the research itself to find out the course of the conversation between a social worker and a client with a mental illness. A questionnaire survey was used for data collection, and the IBM SPSS program was then used for data analysis.
