Abstract:

Ve své bakalářské práci se věnuji dramaturgické analýze taiwanského filmu Tygr a drak (Wo hu cang long, originál r. v. 2000, Ang Lee, Oscar za nejlepší kameru, nejlepší cizojazyčný film, nejlepší hudbu). Ke zpracování této analýzy mě inspiroval můj studijní pobyt na Taiwanu a především pak jeden ze scenáristů tohoto snímku, který na tamější škole vyučoval scenáristiku. Já jsem tak měl možnost se s ním osobně setkat a nahlédnout na film Tygr a drak z nového úhlu. S filmem je vždy mediálně spjatý hlavně režisér, ale na scenáristy se často zapomíná. Podle mého názoru je ale dobrý film založen na už dobré dramaturgické struktuře, která by měla být obsažena ve scénáři, to znamená, že dobrý film je do značné míry počin dobrého a schopného scenáristy. Téma bakalářské práce jsem postavil na idei analýzy filmu Tygr a drak a zjišťování shod a rozdílností dramaturgických bodů ve scénáři a hotovém filmu. Impulsem mi bylo také to, že si myslím, že v produkci je významnost scenáristy podhodnocována. Známý je vždy režisér, nikoliv scenárista, i když to může být právě jeho zásluha, že film je nakonec tak úspěšný.

Abstract:

This bachelor's thesis is devoted to the dramaturgic analysis of the Taiwanese movie Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon (Wo hu cang long, 2000, directed by Ang Lee, Oscar Academy Award for the Best Cinematography, the Best Foreign Language Film, the Best Art Direction-Set Decoration, the Best Original Score). The attempt to carry out this analysis was inspired by the exchange scholarship in Taiwan where I got a unique chance to meet one of the screenwrights of the original literary scripts of the movie who also gave seminars at the university I studied there. Thus, I got a great chance to perceive that movie from a closer, and different point of view than ever before. The truth is that it is the person of a director, who is always mentioned with the movie, however, screenwriters are quite often omitted and forgotten in the media. In my opinion, a good movie is primarily based on a good dramaturgical structure, present in the script itself, hence a good movie is largely based on a work of a very good screenwriter. Another impuls also was the fact, that in production, the importance of the screenwriter is often underestimated. It is always the director, and not the screenwriter, who make the film, althought it could be more the screenwriter's hard worka and effort put into the script that make the movie successfull and famous.
