Foreing language in preschool age from perspective of teachers and parents

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce pojednává o tom, zda má smysl začít s cizím jazykem u dětí již v předškolním věku a jak to vidí učitelé prvního stupně a rodiče předškoláků. V teoretické části této práce jsou zformulovány a shrnuty názory specialistů a pedagogů, výhody plynoucí z výuky cizího jazyka, jejich poznatky a zkušenosti z praxe v tomto raném předškolním věku. Dále se práce zabývá návazností jazyka v MŠ na mladší školní věk, rolí učitele v MŠ při výuce cizího jazyka, jeho osobností, kompetencemi a vhodnými metodami a formami výuky v jazykových lekcích. V praktické části je vypracován výzkum, jehož cílem bylo zjistit, jaký mají rodiče názor na výuku cizího jazyka v předškolním věku, jestli ho využívají nebo jestli jsou spokojeni se současným stavem. V druhé části je shrnut názor pedagogů z prvního stupně základních škol. V závěru této práce jsou uvedeny výsledky tohoto výzkumu a porovnání s argumenty z teoretické části této práce.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis deals with the problem whether it makes sense to start teaching a foreign language children in preschool age and how it is seen by first grade teachers and preschool parents. In the theoretical part of this thesis are opinions of specialists and teachers formulated and summarized, the benefits of teaching foreign language their knowledge and experience from practice in the early preschool age. Furthermore, the work deals with the continuity of language in kindergartens to younger school age, the role of a kindergarten teacher in teaching a foreign language, his personality competencies and appropriate methods and forms of teaching in language lessons. In the practical part there is a research elaborated to find out what parents think about teaching foreign language at pre-school age, if they use it or if they are satisfied. In the second part is the opinion of teachers from primary schools. At the end of this work are the results of this research presented and comparison with arguments from the theoretical part of this work.
