Autorka se ve své diplomové práci zabývá problematikou výchovy dětí v ústavní péči. V teoretické části jsou zpracována teoretická východiska vztahující se k otázkám forem ústavní péče, současnému systému náhradní rodinné péče, významu rodiny a analýze důvodů vedoucích k umístění dětí do ústavní péče.
