Professions with a risk of burnout syndrome and its prevention

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se věnuje problematice syndromu vyhoření a jeho prevenci. Práce je rozdělena do dvou částí. První, teoretická část, vymezuje na základě odborné literatury pojmy syndromu vyhoření, jeho problematiku, vznik, příčiny, jednotlivá stádia procesu, léčbu syndromu a také možnosti prevence. Rovněž je zde zmíněno téma psychohygieny, která má k syndromu vyhoření úzký vztah. V této části budou také popsány profese s vyšším rizikem vzniku tohoto syndromu. Druhá, praktická část, je rozdělena na dvě kapitoly. První kapitola obsahuje studii provedených výzkumů v České republice. Druhá kapitola tvoří vlastní kvantitativní výzkum pomocí MBI dotazníku. Respondenti jsou vybráni z více profesí pro možnost srovnání. Cílem výzkumu je zjistit míru vyhoření zkoumaných vzorků v závislosti na pohlaví, věku a délce praxe. Výsledky výzkumu budeme analyzovat a postupně určovat, jaká skupina je ohroženější. Také zde budou navrhnuta opatření, která by vedla k prevenci vzniku syndromu vyhoření u těchto pracovníků.

Abstract:

Bachelor thesis deals with the issue of burnout syndrome and its prevention. The work is divided into two parts. The first theoretical part determines on the base of professional literature term of burnout syndrome, its issues, origin, causes, individual stages of the process, treatment of the syndrome and also options of prevention. There is mentioned topic of mental hygiene as well, which is closely related to burnout syndrome. The professions with a higher risk of creation this syndrome will be described in this part. The second, practical part is divided into two chapters. The first chapter contains a study of research carried out in the Czech Republic. The second chapter includes own quantitative research using MBI questionnaire. Respondents are selected from multiple professions for the possibility of comparison. The aim of the research is to determinate rate the burnout of the researched samples depending on gender, age and length of practice. The results will be analyzed and gradually determine which group is more at risk. The measures, which would lead to prevention of burnout syndrome in these workers, will be proposed.
