Video on demand services on the Czech market

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se věnuje tématu video on demand služeb. V teoretické části je možné se setkat s vysvětlením pojmů k tématu se vztahujících. Práce se dále zabývá českým audiovizuálním trhem, konkrétněji digitalizací audiovizuálních děl a audiovizuálním polem České republiky. Kromě zmíněného se zabývá i nelegální distribucí těchto děl a jejich licencováním. V práci jsou také představeny VOD služby, které je možné sledovat na území České republiky, kdy se čtenáři setkají jak s mezinárodními, tak s českými VOD platformami. Praktická část bakalářské práce se zabývá dotazníkovým šetřením, jenž zjišťuje povědomí respondentů o těchto službách a jejich postoj k nim.

Abstract:

This bachelor's thesis deals with the phenomenon of video on demand services. In the theoretical part it is possible to meet with explanation of basic terms to the topic. The thesis also deals with the Czech audiovisual market, more specifically the digitization of audiovisual works and the audiovisual field of the Czech Republic. In addition to the above it deals with the illegal distribution of these works and their licensing. The thesis also introduces VOD services that can be monitored in the Czech Republic when readers will meet both international and Czech VOD platforms. The practical part of the thesis deals with a questionnaire survey, which ascertains the awareness of respondents about these services and their attitude to them.
