Tests of personality traits and their place in the activities of the personnel manager in non-profit organizations

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce se věnuje problematice testování osobnostních rysů personálními manažery v neziskových organizacích. Cílem práce je se zaměřit konkrétně na využívání osobnostních testů či jiných prvků během výběrového procesu ve vybraných nestátních neziskových organizacích. V části literární rešerše je diskutován průběh výběrového procesu a jeho metody, měření osobnostních rysů, výběr osobnostních testů a jiných nástrojů, které jsou personalisty používány. V metodické části je zachycen část rozhovoru s personálními manažery, který zkoumá využívání osobnostních testů během výběrového procesu a zahrnuje i osobní názor manažerů na testy společně s názorem na prvky výběru. V praktické části jsou pak analyzovány rozhovory s personalisty, zhodnoceny jejich výpovědi a jsou porovnány s výpověďmi ostatních organizací. Následně jsou interpretovány zjištěné výsledky ukazující významnost zařazení testů do výběrového procesu.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis deals with the issue of testing personality traits by HR managers in non-profit organizations. The aim of the work is to focus specifically on the use of personality tests or other elements during the selection process in selected non-profit NGO's. The part of the literature research discusses the course of the selection process and its methods, measurement of personality traits, selection of personality tests and other tools that are used by human resources. The methodological part captures part of an interview with HR managers, which examines the use of personality tests during the selection process and includes the personal opinion of managers on the tests along with the opinion on the elements of selection. In the practical part, interviews with HR managers are analyzed, their statements are evaluated and they are compared with the statements of other organizations. Subsequently, the results are interpreted, showing the importance of including tests in the selection process.
