Práce mapuje hlavní příčiny chudoby v ČR a EU jako sociálního rizika ekonomického rozvoje a charakterizovat aktuální řešení užívaná v boji proti chudobě. Hlavní pozornost při tom věnovat prevenci chudoby jako nežádoucího jevu ve společnosti, jehož příčinou je dlouhodobá nezaměstnanost.
