The dining habits and related to food in adolescence

Abstract:

Abstrakt Cílem této práce bylo popsat vztah českých adolescentů k jídlu a jejich jídelní chování, zvláště nezdravé jídelní chování a poruchy příjmu potravy. Zkoumali jsme nezdravé stravování, vliv rodičů, váhové rozložení, držení diet a symptomy poruch příjmu potravy. Výzkum se také soustředil na vztah mezi proměnnými, jejich vzájemné působení a genderové rozdíly. Druhým cílem práce bylo nalezení slov nejčasněji užívaných při definování pojmu jídlo. Výzkumný vzorek tvořilo 196 žáků šestých a sedmých tříd českých základních škol (46.9% chlapců a 53.1% dívek) ve věku od 10 do 14 let. Data byla získána dotazníkovou metodou a zpracována pomocí byl faktorové analýzy, testu pro nezávislé výběry a metod deskriptivní statistiky včetně kontingenčních tabulek. Druhá část dat byla získána zadáním definice pojmu jídlo volnou výpovědi a zpracována frekvenční analýzou. Symptomy mentální anorexie se častěji nalézaly u dívek než u chlapců, stejně jako držení diet. Existuje vztah mezi větší kontrolou nad vlastním stravováním souvisí s menším výskytem symptomů psychogenního přejídání, nebyl však nalezen signifikantní vztah mezi symptomy psychogenního přejídání a rodičovskou kontrolou.

Abstract:

Abstract The aim of this study was to describe the relationship of Czech adolescents to eating and their eating behavior, especially unhealthy eating behavior and eating disorders. We looked at unhealthy eating, parental influence, weight distribution, diet and symptoms of eating disorders. The study has also focused on the relationship between variables, their interactions and gender differences. The second aim of the thesis was to find the words most frequently used in defining the word food. The research sample consisted of 196 pupils of the sixth and seventh grades of Czech elementary schools (46.9% boys and 53.1% girls) aged 10-14. The data were obtained by questionnaire and processed using the Factor Analysis, Independent Samples T-Test and Descriptive Statistics Methods including Crosstabs. The second part of the data was obtained by asking for a definition of the word food and the resulting text processed by frequency analysis. Symptoms of mental anorexia were more commonly found in girls than in boys and so was dieting. There is a relationship between greater self-control and a lower incidence of binge eating disorder symptoms, but no significant relationship has been found between the symptoms of binge eating disorder and parental control.
