Aesthetic of Death
Abstract:
Tato bakalářská práce si klade za cíl prozkoumat estetickou stránku smrti, násilí a morbidních výjevů. Práce stručně mapuje vývoj a proměnu vnímání smrti ve společnosti od antiky po současnost. Nastiňuje, jak se smrt objevovala v evropském umění v historii a dnes a jakými způsoby na ni lze nahlížet.
Abstract:
This bachelor thesis pursues to explore the aesthetic side of death, violence and morbid scenes. This thesis briefly maps the development and transformation of the perception of death in the society since antiquity to the present times. Later on, the portrayal of death in both the historic and contemporary European art and possible ways of perceiving it are examined.
