Gustav Flaubert: Madame Bovary. onfrontation of the film adaption and the novel

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce je primárně zaměřená na knihu Gustava Flauberta Paní Bovaryová(Madame Bovary). V první části je stručně představen autor románu a okolnosti vzniku této knihy. Dále první část obsahuje charakteristiku hlavních postav se zaměřením na jejich vzájemné vztahy. Druhá část práce je věnovaná samotné komparaci filmové adaptace Madame Bovary a knižní předlohy Paní Bovaryová s teoretickým úvodem, který se stručně věnuje filmové teorii. V této části se práce věnuje srovnání postav v knize a ve filmu, ale především porovnání samotných scén. Představuje scény, které jsou ve filmu stejné, scény které se liší a scény, které film vůbec neobsahuje.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis is primarily focused on the novel by Gustav Flaubert ?Madame Bovary?. First part briefly presents the author and the circumstances of story conception. Furthermore, the first part contains protagonists characteristic, focusing on their mutual relations. Second part is dedicated to confrontation of the film adaption and the novel ?Madame Bovary?, with introduction to film theory. This part is devoted to a comparison figures in the book and film, but mainly by comparing the scenes themselves. It presents scenes that are the same, scenes that are different and scenes that are missing in the film.
