Abstract:

Cílem práce bylo naprogramovat webovou aplikaci pro správu a vyhledávání v databázi vědeckých článků provozované Laboratoří paralelních a distribuovaných systémů Fakulty informatiky Masarykovy univerzity. Zásadní změnou oproti předchozí aplikaci, která byla k tomuto účelu používána, je používání formátu BibTeX jako primárního zdroje informací o uložených článcích. V první části tento text zmiňuje existující volně šířitelné nástroje pro práci s formátem BibTeX s webovým i jiným rozhraním, které byly v době zahájení řešení této práce (jaro 2004) dostupné. Podrobněji je popsán modul Text::BibTeX programovacího jazyka Perl, který jsem použil při tvorbě aplikace. V druhé části je zdokumentována samotná aplikace, jejíž vytvoření bylo cílem této práce. Jsou vyjmenovány požadavky na aplikaci, uvedena struktura databáze včetně relačního schématu, adresářová struktura, účel jednotlivých skriptů a modulů a stručný popis práce s aplikací. V závěru je krátce popsáno, jak je aplikace zabezpečena před případnými hackerskými útoky, a je zdokumentován doplňkový skript pro automatické zasílání informací o nových nebo změněných článcích e-mailem. Protože aplikace byla později upravena a rozšířena v rámci jiné bakalářské práce, jsou ve stručnosti zmíněny i nejdůležitější změny, které její řešitel provedl.

Abstract:

The goal of this thesis was to develop a web application for administration and search in a database of scientific articles run by the Parallel & Distributed Systems Laboratory of the Faculty of Informatics. The key shift, in comparison with the previous application used for this purpose earlier, was the use of the BibTeX format as a primary source of information on the saved articles. In the first part of this text existing free distributable tools for work with the BibTeX format with web or other interface, available when solving of this thesis have been started (spring 2004), are mentioned. In more details the module Text::BibTeX of Perl programming language which I've used for the application is described. In the second part the application itself, whose creation was the goal of this thesis, is documented. The application requierements are specified, the structure of the database including the relation scheme, the directory structure, the purpose of particular scripts and modules and a brief description of using application are listed. At the end of the thesis the security of the application against possible hacker attacks is shortly described and the additional script for automatic sending of information on new or changed articles via e-mail is documented. Because of the fact that the application was later modified and upgraded within another bachelor thesis, the most important changes made by its author are briefly mentioned.
