Tato práce se zabývá přístupem spisovatele Wilkie Collinse k genderu a konceptu feminity a maskulinity ve dvou jeho románech – Žena v bílém a The Law and the Lady. Práce zkoumá, zdali Collinsův náhled na gender odpovídá tomu společenskému v 19. století.
Abstract:
This thesis explores Wilkie Collins's approach to gender and femininity and masculinity concepts in two of his novels – The Woman in White and The Law and the Lady. This thesis examines whether Collins's perspective is in accord with the one of nineteenth century society.
