Relationship of selected aspects of leadership and the level of identification of the subordinates with the organization

Abstract:

Cílem mé diplomové práce bylo zjistit, jak konkrétní hodnotová orientace a styl vedení manažerů ovlivňují míru identifikace podřízených s pracovní skupinou. Pro zodpovězení výzkumných otázek jsem použila dotazníkové šetření sestavené ze tří validovaných dotazníků. Mezi použité dotazníky jsem zařadila dotazník přístupu k vedení lidí, dotazník hodnot hodnotových portrétů a dotazník organizační identifikace. Výzkum jsem prováděla celkem ve třech skupinách s 10 až 13 respondenty. Data získaná z dotazníků jsem zpracovala pomocí popisné statistiky a analýzy dat zvlášť pro každou pracovní skupinu a jejího manažera. První statistickou metodou byl neparametrický jednovýběrový Wilcoxonův test. Tuto metodu jsem použila pro srovnání hodnot, hodnotových orientací, faktorů a kategorií stylů vedení z pohledu manažerů a jejich podřízených. Druhou statistickou metodou byl Pearsonův korelační koeficient, který jsem použila pro zjištění závislosti mezi mírou identifikace se skupinou a transformačním stylem vedení manažerů. Pomocí Pearsonova korelačního koeficientu jsme zkoumala i závislost míry identifikace se skupinou na hodnotové orientaci otevřenosti ke změně. Výsledkem statistických analýz u pracovních skupin bylo zjištění, že míra identifikace se skupinou závisí na transformačním stylu vedení manažerů i na hodnotové orientaci otevřenosti ke změně.

Abstract:

The aim of the diploma thesis is to find out how a particular value orientation and managers´ leadership style influence subordinates´ rate of identification with a working group. For answering the research questions I used a questionnaire construct containing three validated questionnaires. Among these there was a Czech leadership questionnaire, a portrait values questionnaire and an organisational identification questionnaire. The research was implemented in three groups with 10-13 respondents. The data obtained from the questionnaires were processed through descriptive statistics and data analysis separately for each group and its manager. The first statistic method was the non-parametric Sign Wilcoxon Test. This method was used for comparing the values, values orientation, factors and categories of leadership from the point of view of managers and their subordinates. The second statistic method was Parson Correlation Coefficient which was used for detecting the relation between the rate of identification with a group and a transformation leadership of managers. Through the Pearson Correlation Coefficient, the relation of a rate of identification with a group to a value orientation of openness to changes was surveyed. The result of statistic analyses for working groups was that the rate of identification with a group depends on the transformation leadership of managers as well as on values orientation of openness to changes.
