Cílem této práce je porozumět vlivu amerického malíře Edwarda Hoppera na filmový obraz. Práce nejdříve představuje osobnost Edwarda Hoppera a jeho dílo, přičemž se soustředí na aspekty, které se mohou promítat i do jeho vlivu na kinematografii: kompozici, světlo, barvy a výrazné vizuální motivy. The aim of this thesis is to understand the influence of the American painter Edward Hopper on the film image. The thesis will first introduce the personality of Edward Hopper and his work, focusing on aspects that can be reflected in his influence on cinematography: composition, light, color and distinctive visual motifs.
