Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá tématem mužství a představami mladých mužů o tom, co znamená být "správný chlap". Práce se zaměřuje na kvalitativní výzkum, který využívá rozhovorů s mladými muži ve věku 18?25let. Cílem práce je přiblížit, jaké jsou představy mladých mužů o mužnosti a jakými vlastnostmi a chováním se snaží prokázat svou mužnost. Dále se práce snaží zodpovědět otázku, jaké jsou sociální a kulturní faktory, které ovlivňují tyto představy. Mladí muži mají různé představy o tom, co znamená být "správný chlap", přičemž některé z těchto představ jsou silně ovlivněny genderovými stereotypy. Výzkum tedy přispívá k hlubšímu porozumění mužství a genderovým představám v současné společnosti.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis deals with the topic of masculinity and young men's ideas of what it means to be a " right guy ". The thesis focuses on qualitative research using interviews with young men aged 18?25. The aim of the thesis is to shed light on what young men's ideas of masculinity are and what qualities and behaviours they use to demonstrate their masculinity. Furthermore, the thesis seeks to answer the question of what are the social and cultural factors that influence these perceptions. Young men have different ideas about what it means to be a 'proper man', some of which are strongly influenced by gender stereotypes. The research therefore contributes to a deeper understanding of masculinity and gendered ideas in contemporary society.
