Settlement of claims within car insurance

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se zabývá likvidací pojistných událostí v rámci provozování pojištění automobilů. Zejména se jedná o likvidaci pojistných událostí z pojistných produktů pojištění odpovědnosti za škodu způsobenou provozem vozidla a havarijního pojištění. Úvodní část provádí základní vymezení nejen těchto produktů, ale i produktů souvisejících. Pokládal jsem za nezbytné vymezit osobu likvidátora, jenž je důležitou postavou v procesu likvidace pojistné události. Kromě formálního vymezení osoby likvidátora, jsem dále v práci dbal na zachycení jeho povinností a postupů v průběhu jeho činnosti. Navazující části o procesu likvidace, likvidace škod na zdraví a na majetku jsou jádrem této bakalářské práce. V práci se také mimo jiné zabývám rozdílností likvidace pojistné události z produktu pojištění odpovědnosti za škodu a havarijního pojištění, zřetelného zvláště v rozdílném pojetí výše výplaty pojistného plnění. V závěru práce jsou uvedeny ilustrační příklady některých problémů, které mohou v průběhu likvidace pojistné události nastat.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis deals with the settlement of claims within car insurance. In particular, it is the claims management of insurance products - liability insurance for damage caused by operation of a vehicle and accidental insurance. The introductory part of the thesis is implementing the basic definition of these products and products related. I considered it necessary to define the person of loss adjuster, who is an important figure in the process of liquidation of an insured event. In addition to the formal definition of loss adjuster I keep the work in recording of his duties and procedures in the course of his activities. The subsequent part of the process of liquidation of an insured event - the liquidation of damages to health and property are at the heart of this work. The thesis also deals with differences in claims handling from liability insurance and accidental insurance particularly clear in the different treatment of the amount of the payment of insurance benefits. At the end of the work are given illustrative examples of some problems during the liquidation of an insured event that may arise.
