Diplomová práce si klade za cíl přinést ucelený pohled na historický vývoj průmyslového zpracování bavlny na Slánsku. V praktické části přináší řadu doposud nepublikovaných informací a archivních materiálů, které dokumentují podstatný vliv na rozvoj regionu. The goal of this diploma thesis is to bring its readers a whole new angle to consider when contemplating the progression of cotton manufacturing over time in Slaný. In the practical part it brings a variety of behind the scenes information and archive materials that are key in marking the development of said region.
