Abstract:
Práce pojednává o problémech rasy, genderu, rodiny, náboženství, a identity v dílech The Bluest Eye od Toni Morrisonové a Black Boy od Richarda Wrighta. Věk obou hlavních hrdinů zde hraje zásadní roli. Příběhy zachycují období od roku 1908 do roku 1941 a odehrávají se na jihu USA.
Abstract:
The thesis deals with the issues of race, gender, family, religion, and identity as they are depicted in the novels The Bluest Eye by Toni Morrison and Black Boy by Richard Wright. The age of the main protagonists Pecola Breedlove and Richard Wright plays a significant role. The stories cover the period from 1908 to 1941 and the setting is the South of the USA.
