Multilingualism in Slovakia in the 19th Century. The German Language in the Slovak national Literature

This bachelor thesis deals with the lingual situation in the 19th century in Slovakia, with the contacts between Germans and Slovaks and with foreign and loanwords from German in Slovakian. At first it describes the historical background. Then, the adaptation and borrowing of the foreign and loanwords in the Slovak language is explained. Táto bakalárska práca sa zaoberá jazykovou situáciou v 19. st. na Slovensku, nemecko-slovenskými kontaktmi a nemeckými výpožičkami v slovenskom jazyku. Najskôr je vylíčené historické pozadie. Následne je vysvetlené prispôsobovanie a vypožičiavanie cudzích slov, hlavne z nemeckého jazyka do slovenčiny.
