Forms of subtitute family care in Czech Republic

Abstract:

Cílem této bakalářské práce je popsat formy náhradní rodinné péče v České republice a zaměřit se na práci sociálního pracovníka v procesu zprostředkování této péče. Vymezuje pojem rodiny s důrazem na její důležitost a funkce, dále věnuje pozornost základním právním normám vztahujícím se k sociálně právní ochraně dětí. Stěžejní kapitola této práce obecně popisuje formy institucionální a náhradní rodinné péče v České republice a změny v náhradní rodinné péči po přijetí novely zákona o sociálně-právní ochraně dětí od 1. 1. 2013 a nového občanského zákoníku od 1. 1. 2014. Rovněž je zde popsán proces zprostředkování náhradní rodinné péče se zaměřením na roli sociálního pracovníka v celém procesu a jeho následnou práci s těmito rodinami. Práce věnuje rovněž pozornost podpoře rodin s dětmi v náhradní rodinné péči a poukazuje na potřebnost těchto forem péče.

Abstract:

The aim of this work is to describe forms of a foster care in the Czech Republic and focus on a social worker´s work in a mediation process of that care. It defines the concept of family with an emphasis on its importance and functions, as well as pays attention to basic legal standards related to the social and legal protection of children. The core chapter of this thesis describes the general forms of institutional and the foster care in the Czech Republic and changes in the foster care after the adoption of the amendment to the law on the social and legal protection of children from 1. 1. 2013 and the New Civil Code from 1. 1. 2014. There is also described the process of arranging the foster care with a focus on the role of a social worker in the whole process and his subsequent work with these families. The work also pays attention to supporting families with children in the foster care and highlights the need for these forms of care.
