The aim of the thesis is to analyze institutional prerequisites for the process of Czechoslovak transformation in the beginning of 1990's. Using the standard theoretical framework of institutional economics and Svetozar Pejovich's interaction thesis shows the transformation process as a part of continuous institutional evolution.
