The position of the ECB at the impact of the crisis in Europe

Abstract:

Dobríková, Elena, Bc. : The position of the European Central Bank during the period of crisis in Europe [diploma thesis]. Banking Institute College of banking. Prague, Foreign College Banska Bystrica. Supervisor: Ing. Victoria Vargová, PhD., Year: 2013, Number of pages: 70. The final thesis deals with the role of the European Central Bank at the time of current financial, economic and debt crisis, and with the procedures of monetary policy in the process of solving the impacts of crisis in EMU countries. The aim of the thesis is to show the procedures of the European Central Bank at the impact of the crisis and the extent of work to outline the effectiveness of monetary policy on the real economy indicators: the European Monetary Union. The first chapter focuses on the theoretical definition of the Central bank as monetary policy holder; it briefly outlines a typology of crises, and describes the origin of current crisis, and finally outlines the position of the Central bank of the European Monetary Union. The second chapter analyzes the tools of conventional and unconventional monetary policy of the European Central Bank and the period of implementation of unconventional policy tools. The third chapter provides insight into the effects of monetary policy of European Central Bank on Euroarea real economy.

Vedúci práce: Ing. Viktória Vargová, PhD. Rok obhajoby: 2013. Počet strán: 70. Diplomová práca sa zaoberá postavením Európskej centrálnej banky v čase prebiehajúcej finančnej, hospodárskej a dlhovej krízy a postupmi jej menovej politiky pri riešení dopadov krízy v krajinách Európskej menovej únie. Cieľom diplomovej práce je poukázať na postupy Európskej centrálnej banky pri dopadoch krízy a vzhľadom na rozsah práce načrtnúť účinnosť menovej politiky na vybraných ukazovateľoch reálnej ekonomiky Európskej menovej únie. Prvá kapitola je zameraná na teoretické vymedzenie centrálnej banky ako nositeľa menovej politiky, stručne naznačí typológiu krízy, ako aj vznik súčasnej krízy, a napokon načrtne postavenie centrálnej banky Európskej menovej únie. Druhá kapitola analyzuje nástroje konvenčnej a nekonvenčnej menovej politiky Európskej centrálnej banky a obdobia postupného zavádzania nástrojov nekonvenčnej politiky. Tretia kapitola prináša pohľad na dopady menovej politiky Európskej centrálnej banky na reálnu ekonomiku Eurozóny.
