Education of Convicts during Their Imprisonment

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se zabývá tématem vzdělávání dospělých ve výkonu trestu odnětí svobody. V práci je pojednáváno o významu trestu, trestání, a především pak o programu zacházení a resocializaci vězňů. V rámci programu zacházení se bakalářská práce zaměřuje na vzdělávací aktivity těchto osob a jejich motivaci ke vzdělávání. Práce je rozdělena na dvě části, na část teoretickou a část praktickou. V teoretické části jsou vymezeny základní pojmy, jako je výkon trestu odnětí svobody, trest, jeho účel a funkce. Je zde také legislativní ukotvení těchto pojmů, včetně citací z trestního zákoníku. Teoretická část se dále věnuje vzdělávání dospělých a definicí pojmu motivace. Část praktická je věnována kvantitativnímu výzkumu, jeho výzkumným otázkám a interpretaci získaných dat z dotazníkového šetření provedeného ve Školském vzdělávacím středisku Světlá nad Sázavou.

Abstract:

Bachelor's thesis deals with the topic of education for adults serving a custodial sentence. The thesis deals with the importance of punishment, chastisement and especially with a program of treatment and resocialization of prisoners. Within the treatment program, the bachelor's thesis focuses on the educational activities of these people and their motivation for education. The thesis is divided into two parts, it has theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part defines the basic concepts such as an execution of imprisonment, the sentence, its purpose and function. There is also a legislative anchoring of these terms, including citations from the Criminal Code. This part further devotes to education and the definition of the concept of motivation. The practical part is devoted to quantitative research, its research questions and the interpretation of obtained data from a questionnaire survey conducted at the School Educational Center of Světlá nad Sázavou.
