Individual approach when working with children and young people in excluded locations

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá problematikou dětí a mládeže žijících v sociálním vyloučení a vyloučených lokalitách a převážně tak osob romského etnika a jejich výchovou. Práce je rozdělena do dvou částí a to teoretické a empirické. V teoretické části popisuji specifika a výchovu této komunity ve srovnání s komunitou majoritní, jejich nedostatek individuality a potřebu soukromí a afiliace. V neposlední řadě pak popisuji volný čas a jeho funkce. Cílem empirické části mé práce je pomocí kvalitativního výzkumu zjistit a poukázat na to, jaká může být hlavní motivace k návštěvě konkrétního volnočasového střediska dětí z vyloučených lokalit a zda je jedním z důvodů také prostor pro individualitu a osobní přístup ze strany lektorů k nim. Výsledky tohoto výzkumu jsou interpretovány v poslední kapitole empirické části mé práce.

Abstract:

This bachelor's thesis is focused on the issue of children and youth living in social exclusion and excluded localities, mainly people of Roma ethnicity and their upbringing. The work is divided into two parts, theoretical and empirical. In the theoretical part, I am trying to describe the specifics and upbringing of this community compared to the majority, the issue of their lack of individuality and the need for privacy and affiliation. At last but not least, I mention the possibilities of spending free time and its functions. The goal of the empirical part of my work is to find out and point out what the main motivation can be for visiting a specific leisure center for children from excluded localities and whether one of the reasons can also be the space for their individuality and the personal approach of the lecturers to them, by using the qualitative type of research. The results of this research are interpreted in the last chapter of the empirical part of my work.
