Position of university degree holders in the labour market in the Moravian-Silesian region

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá problematikou vysokoškolsky vzdělaných osob. Cílem práce je zhodnotit postavení vysokoškolsky vzdělaných osob na trhu práce v Moravskoslezském kraji. Zmíněný region se od roku 1989 vyrovnává s negativními dopady restrukturalizace a útlumem těžkého průmyslu. S tím souvisí dlouhodobě nejvyšší míra nezaměstnanosti kraje v porovnání se zbytkem republiky. K řešení této situace by mohl mimo jiné napomoct zvyšující se počet vysokoškolsky vzdělaných osob v regionu, zejména pak v technických oborech, informačních technologiích či zdravotnictví. Na základě vypracování analýzy jednotlivých okresů kraje prostřednictvím dat zveřejněných MPSV bylo zjištěno měnící se postavení vysokoškolsky vzdělaných osob na trhu práce v letech 2015-2017. Celkově lze shrnout, že ve zmíněném období na Úřadu práce ubývají nabídky zaměstnání pro vysokoškolsky vzdělané osoby s technickým zaměřením, a to ve prospěch pozic hlavně v oblasti informačních technologií. U vybraných okresů byly výsledky analýzy dále verifikovány řízenými rozhovory se zástupci kontaktních pracovišť Úřadu práce, dále pak s pracovníkem personální agentury.

Abstract:

This dissertation examines the issue of holders of a university degree. The aim of the thesis is to evaluate the position of individuals with a university degree in the labour market in the Moravian-Silesian region. Since 1989, the previously mentioned region is facing the negative impacts of restructuring and decreasing heavy industry. As a result of these impacts, the unemployment rate of the region is the highest in the Republic compared to the rest of the country. An increasing number of university degree holders in the region, especially in fields such as technology, IT and health care might be one of the solutions to the situation. According to an analysis of the regions published by MPSV, it has been found that in 2015-2017 the positions of university degree holders were changed. It can be concluded, that in the mentioned period, the labour office noticed a decrease of job offers intended for university degree holders with technological specialisation, on the other hand, supply for jobs in IT field is increasing. The analysis of chosen districts was verified by interviews with deputies of contact workplaces of labour office and, also with an employee of human resource agency.
