Use of Montessori Principles in the Homes of Pupils from Montessori Preschool Facilities

Abstract:

Práce se věnuje principům Montessori pedagogiky a jejich využívání při výchově v domácnosti u žáků z Montessori předškolních zařízení. V teoretické části je nejprve uvedena definice předškolního věku a jeho specifika. Kapitola o výchově a vzdělávání je rozdělena na dvě části, z nichž jedna se věnuje výchově a vzdělávání doma, druhá v předškolních zařízeních. V poslední kapitole teoretické části práce je rozebrána Montessori pedagogika, její filozofie a principy, a také jsou zde uvedeny faktory, vedoucí k výběru Montessori mateřských škol. Empirická část práce se věnuje tomu, co vedlo respondenty k výběru právě Montessori zařízení, jak filozofii tohoto směru sami vnímají a především na to, jakým způsobem tyto principy sami při výchově využívají.

Abstract:

This thesis focuses on the principles of Montessori pedagogy and their use at home-based upbringing of pupils from Montessori pre-school facilities. The theoretical part deals with the definition of pre-school age and its specifics. The chapter on education and upbringing is divided into two parts, one of which is devoted to home-schooling and upbringing, and the other one to the process of education at pre-school facilities. In the last chapter of the theoretical part of the thesis, the philosophy and principles of the Montessori pedagogy are analysed, as well as the factors leading to selecting Montessori kindergartens. The empirical part of the thesis deals with the question of what led respondents to choose Montessori devices, how they perceive its philosophy, and especially how they use these principles when upbringing their children.
