Supported employment of people with intellectual disabilities from the perspective of employers

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce pojednává o službě podporované zaměstnávání, která umožňuje lidem s mentálním postižením, aby si našli a udrželi zaměstnání na otevřeném trhu práce. Příjemcem podpory v rámci této služby nejsou však jen lidé s mentálním postižením, ale také jejich zaměstnavatelé. Analýza se zaměřuje na službu podporované zaměstnávání poskytovanou lidem s mentálním postižením a jejich zaměstnavatelům Agenturou podporovaného zaměstnávání při Diakonii ČCE v Litoměřicích. Práce zkoumá, jak jsou zaměstnavatelé při zaměstnávání lidí s mentálním postižením v této službě podporováni, jak oni sami ji hodnotí a v jakých dalších oblastech by potřebovali podporu. Na základě analýzy byly vytvořeny návrhy na zkvalitnění služby podporované zaměstnávání, které by více pomohly zaměstnavatelům při zaměstnávání lidí s mentálním postižením a byly také přínosné nejenom pro Agenturu podporovaného zaměstnávání při Diakonii ČCE v Litoměřicích, ale i pro další poskytovatele této služby.

Abstract:

Bachelor´s thesis deals with supported employment which allows people with mental (intellectual) disabilities to find and keep the job at the open labour market. The recipients of this support are not only people with mental disabilities but also their employers. The analysis is focused on supported employment for people with mental disabilities and their employers which is provided by the Agency of supported employment by the Diaconia of the Evangelical Church of Czech Brethren in Litoměřice. The thesis examines how are supported the employers of people with the mental disabilities during the supported employment service, how is this service evaluated by them, in which other areas would they need the support. On the basis of the analysis the proposals for the upgrading of supported employment were created. These proposals should help the employers by employing people with mental disabilities and should be beneficial not only for the Agency of supported employment by the Diaconia of the Evangelical Church of Czech Brethren in Litoměřice but also for other providers of this service.
