Support of Classical Teaching Using Virtual Classes and the Google Classroom Environment

Abstract:

Hlavním cílem této diplomové práce, nesoucí název Podpora klasické výuky pomocí virtuální třídy za použití Google Classroom, je přiblížit možnosti týkající se implementace nástroje Google Classroom do výuky. V teoretické části práce nastiňuje obecné informace o e-learningu a definuje tento pojem. Dále se práce věnuje informacím ohledně LMS a přibližuje také některé z těchto systémů. První oblastí praktické části je popis uživatelského prostředí nástroje Google Classroom a následná implementace této služby do výuky na střední škole. Popis uživatelského prostředí může sloužit i jako stručný návod, který může pomoci učitelům k vytvoření plnohodnotného kurzu ke kterémukoliv předmětu. Dalším praktickým výstupem jsou vytvořené studijní materiály na vybraná témata, které slouží k výuce v předmětu informačních technologií. V poslední části diplomové práce jsou pomocí dotazníkového šetření ověřeny závěry na základě stanovených hypotéz.

Abstract:

The main goal of this thesis, named Support of classical teaching using virtual classes and the Google Classroom environment, is to explain the options for implementation of Google Classroom into education. In the theoretical part the thesis aims to general information about e-learning and defines this term. Thesis also deals with the LMS and presents general information and some of these systems. The first chapter of the practical part describes user interface of Google Classroom and implementation of this service to education at high school. The description of the user interface can also be used as a brief manual that can help teachers to create a fully-featured course for any subject. Another practical output is creation of materials for teaching and studying on selected topics, which are used for education in the subject of information technologies. In the last part of the thesis, the results are verified by questionnaire survey which is based on appointed hypotheses.
