Human Factor in IS

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá lidským faktorem v informačních systémech, zejména kognitivními procesy člověka, které se při interakci s IS projevují. V práci jsou vymezeny základní pojmy odpovídající názvu práce. Zvláštní pozornost byla věnována oboru Human-Computer interaction, jehož studium je nezbytné pro pochopení vztahu „člověk a informační systém”. HCI se zabývá hlavně problematikou návrhu přívětivého uživatelského rozhraní, které by mělo být v souladu s uživatelskými požadavky, a proto je nutné brát v úvahu poznatky o fungování lidského myšlení, vnímání, paměti a pozornosti. V práci je definována kognitivní psychologie, jež studuje pochopení těchto procesů, dále jsou vymezeny jednotlivé kognitivní procesy. V neposlední řadě jsou popsána témata modelů uživatele. Jedná se o mentální modely, jejichž poznání umožňuje lépe pochopit práci uživatelů se systémem. Součástí práce je také srovnání dvou informačních systémů, kde je důraz kladen na použitelnost a přívětivost uživatelského rozhraní.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis deals with the problem of human factor in information systems, especially human cognitive processes, which are manifested in the interaction with IS. The thesis defines the basic concepts corresponding to the title of the thesis. Special attention was paid to the field of Human-Computer interaction, the study of which is necessary for understanding the relationship between "man and information system". HCI mainly deals with the design of a friendly user interface, which should be in accordance with user requirements, and therefore it is necessary to take into account the knowledge about the functioning of human thinking, perception, memory and attention. The work defines cognitive psychology, which studies the understanding of these processes. Further the individual cognitive processes was definied. Last but not least, there was described the topics of user models. It means mental models, the knowledge of which allows a better understanding of users' work with the system. Part of the work is also a comparison of two information systems, where the emphasis is on usability and friendliness of the user interface.
