Domestic botany

Abstract:

Tato praktická bakalářská práce si klade za cíl vytvořit soubor maleb, které zobrazují téma botaniky v našich domovech, přesněji domácích a pokojových rostlin a dává toto téma do paralely s dějinami umění v oblasti malby a představuje umělce, kteří je používali nejčastěji. Cílem je soubor maleb zobrazující pokojovou rostlinu. Teoretická část práce se věnuje popisu a historii pokojových rostlin v umění. Také historie pokojových rostlin, tedy jak se dostaly do našich domovů a z jakého důvodu. V praktické části zahrnuji mnou výtvarně zpracovaný námět, inspirovaný mým fikusem.

Abstract:

This practical bachelor's thesis aims to create a set of paintings that depicts the target theme of botany in our homes, more specifically house and indoor plants and parallels this theme with the history of art in the field of painting and presents the artists that are most often used them. The goal is a set of picturesque indoor plants. The theoretical part of the work is devoted to the description and history of indoor plants in art. Also the history of houseplants, i.e. how they got into our homes and for what reason. In the practical part, I include a subject created by me, inspired by my ficus.
